10 Examples of People Being Pretty Awesome

I was going to an art museum one afternoon where parking usually runs about $15 an hour (in case you’ve never been to Seattle – parking prices are nuts). As I was looking for a parking spot I saw a man start walking toward my vehicle.

Just the Kick in the Ass I Needed

This kick in the ass that I’m referring to has happened to me more than once, and it’s always happened at weird times.

It’s come in different forms & always when I least expect it. But being that I’m closing in on 30 I’m beginning to see a bit of pattern. Its always come exactly when I needed it.

One of these “kick’s in the ass” happened tonight. And it came with a few scrapes & bruises this time as well. Oh, lucky me.

It’s funny how life has a way of kicking you in the ass right at the moment you need it most, isn’t it?

There’s a board game that’s been making an appearance at my family gatherings for as long as I can remember. I’ve been told the real name of the game is “Joker’s and Pegs”, but to my family and I it is and will always most simply be called, “The Game”.

A Birthday Weekend in the Olympic National Park

I spent my 25th birthday with my boyfriend and 2 of our close friends backpacking through the Hoh Rainforest in the Olympic National Park of Washington.

This world can be a real son of a gun sometimes.

It can make you lose hope, lose direction, lose yourself, and on really crappy days maybe even lose your faith in humanity.

However, I’m not here to talk about that side of the world, I think we all hear enough about that crap already.

I’m here to talk about the other side, you know, the one where all the rare gems hide.
